I’m Addicted to Stitch Fix

Back in November, I posted about using Stitch Fix for My Stay-At-Home Style Makeover. I loved the experience, but I only kept two of the items. I scheduled a second fix for some new winter layers, and it came a couple of weeks ago. I wasn’t planning on doing a post about it, but my best friend, who also started using Stitch Fix, requested one. So this post’s for you, Laura!

Guys, I love, love, LOVE Stitch Fix. I may actually be addicted to it. I adore everything about it: their website, the style survey, anticipating the package, the beautifully wrapped clothes chosen just for me, trying them on with everything in my closet, the ease of either purchasing or returning them. And of course, the clothes themselves. I love those the most.

I hadn’t planned on keeping everything, because I didn’t need five new pieces of clothing, but I loved it all so much that I couldn’t give anything back. (Plus, you get a substantial 25% discount if you keep all five, so unless you only want to keep one or two, it’s usually worth it to keep them all.)

This is how I know I’m addicted: every time the FedEx truck comes up the road now (which is almost every day) I hope he has a Stitch Fix box for me. Even though I haven’t even requested one yet. Even though I don’t need new clothes and it would be foolish to spend the money. Even though I actually enjoy shopping for myself. Despite all of those things, I keep jonesing for my next Fix.

Here’s what I got this time:

turquoise topTurquoise top with fun collar. I don’t even know how to describe this drape, it’s so unique. Definitely not a cowl neck, a style I dislike. It’s more like a rouched hoodie without the hood. And I love the color; it makes my eyes pop.
turquoise top gray sweater

Turquoise top with gray cardigan (also part of the Fix.) Fix pieces aren’t necessarily meant to coordinate, but I love how these two go together. The neck of the top drapes beautifully over the top of the cardigan, almost like an accent scarf without the bulk. I loved the cardigan the second I pulled it out of the box. It’s so soft, and the perfect length. When I put it on, I look taller and leaner. I swear.

pink top and gray sweater

Pink silk top with dark blue pattern, worn with the gray cardigan. This piece was my least favorite, not because it wasn’t pretty, but because it’s dry clean only, which I’d specifically requested NOT to have in this fix. It’s my only Stitch Fix complaint thus far. However, I chose to keep the top because I do like it and it was worth keeping it to get the 25% discount.

The top also has a really cool dark blue lace inset on the tops of the sleeves and around the back. (I should have taken a back picture- sorry!)
pink and gray sweater

Pink, black and gray color-block sweater. I really like this shade of pink, but it’s too bright right next to my skin. The color-blocking solves that problem. I wore it with a rose-gold Fossil necklace, but it also goes surprisingly well with a long gold chain of my grandmother’s.

dress only

White and green-striped stretchy dress. I went out of my mind when I saw this. It’s comfortable, beautiful and can be dressed up or down. I also like the T-stripe down the back:

It’s more figure-hugging than what I usually wear, but I don’t care because it makes me feel like Joan from Mad Men. LOVE.

dress w jacketThis is how I’d style the dress for a casual occasion- Levi denim jacket and the green patterned infinity scarf I got in my last fix, gray tights, and my red-brown boots (they kind of got cut off here, but I promise they look cute).

More than two weeks later, I’m still excited every time I take one of these pieces out of my closet. I’ve talked about it so much that my husband is asking me to find a Stitch Fix for men. So far, the ones I’ve seen seem to be for very high-end clothes, but I’m still looking. If anyone knows of something similar for guys, please let me know!

As I wrote last time, I don’t have any affiliation with Stitch Fix (I wish!) but if you click on any of the links in this post to set up your own fix, I do get a generous credit toward my next Fix.

And guys, I NEED it! I NEED MY FIX!

Enjoy your holiday weekend!
