Remember in the beginning of October, when I was excited about the 31 day blog challenge that so many of my favorite bloggers (Modern Mrs. Darcy, Carrie Willard) participated in? I’d said I wasn’t quite ready to take the challenge myself, but mentioned that I had an idea for a November blog series. Well, here it is!
Introducing Words From the Sowul’s first mini-series on GRATITUDE.
For the month of November, I will be blogging three times a week about gratitude. These posts will appear on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with the Friday posts specializing in books that teach lessons about gratitude (both fiction and nonfiction). (I’m not ready to give up my Friday book reviews just yet.) I’ll also continue to post once during the weekend (either Saturday or Sunday) on non-related topics. I don’t think I could go a whole month without writing all the other ideas that pop into my head!
Here are the types of posts you can look forward to:
- How we learn gratitude
- How we teach gratitude
- How we maintain the feeling of gratitude
- Gratitude and God
- How to stay grateful when bad things happen
- Gratitude for how we’ve advanced as a society
- Creative ways to thank someone else
- How to respond when someone else thanks you
- Where gratitude meets guilt
- Making gratitude into celebration
- Feeling grateful for less instead of wishing for more
- The miracle of celebrating Thanksgiving
If you have other suggestions for topics surrounding gratitude, please let me know! I’m excited for the challenge of this series, and looking forward to taking this next step with Words From the Sowul.
(Has anyone ever noticed that “gratitude” is a weird word to type? The three tall, pointy letters in the middle always make it look wrong to me. Or maybe it’s just awkward on the fingers.)
